Dan Cruz is the Founding Principal of Cruz Communications. He has been responsible for helping a diverse array of organizations with their toughest communication challenges and preparing them for interactions with the media and the public for 15 years. Through his client-centric approach, he delivers dynamic expertise in public relations and reputation management.

Dan’s strategic communications background includes consulting roles for public relations firms and national nonprofits as well as in-house roles at Ligado Networks, the U.S. Treasury Department, General Services Administration, and the Massachusetts state government. He has coordinated external communications campaigns on high profile issues, including corporate social responsibility, telecommunications, banking, and government operations. In all of these roles, he’s driven integrated public relations projects to support business, operational, and policy objectives.

Dan is originally from the Boston area, and after spending many years living and working in Washington, D.C., he now lives in Chicago. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Northeastern University. Outside of the office, he’s an amateur chef, traveler, runner, and CrossFitter.
